Workshop description:

We all talk about our work and ourselves on an everyday basis. Did you ever think of how you could tell a better, more engaging story about subjects you are passionate about?

No matter if you want to improve the way you present yourself and your projects in a professional setting, or at a friend’s party, improving your storytelling skills can help you increase your chance of more interesting interactions with other people. A series of exercises will help you get to know other participants better, and explore storytelling as a way to transmit your message more effectively. The workshop will cover the basics of storytelling as well as alternative, but useful visual communication techniques for presentations and posters. All of this you will be able to apply immediately when you attend conferences, present your work in meetings, or when you are being interviewed for your next job. Thanks to several feedback sessions, you will be able to improve your stories quickly, and have new ideas ready for next time someone asks you what you do in your life!

The storytelling workshop consists of five 2-hour long sessions, or two intense weekend sessions, with some homework to do between each session. To support the work of Rhizome association, we ask all participants for a small contribution (10 EUR for members and 20 for non-members, which includes a yearly beneficiary membership fee). This interactive online workshop will have a maximum of 12 participants fills up quickly, on a first come first serve basis, so make sure you sign up on time!
